Disabled Workers
http://www.disabledworkers.org.uk/
The Disabled Workers Co-operative is a great place to find traditional skills that have almost disappeared from our fast moving commercial world. Skills such as Chair-Caning, Basket-Weaving, and Wood-Turning, can all be found by searching the Disabled Workers Co-operative Database; along with modern skills such as Website-Design, Word-Processing and Translation-Services.
Pensionage
http://www.pensionage.co.uk
Designed as non profit and advert free it is to help those older people in need and their carers. The site has a lot of clear and to the point information on State pension, pension credit and other benefits. There are online forums where questions can be asked and answers being given from those people in the know. It's a great place to start if you are in need of some answers to common questions.
The Disability Information Website
http://www.disabilitydirect.org
Everything you need, all in one place!
Disability Direct is an online directory and disability website designed to help you find just the right information, support or equipment you need to live your life.
This site is not just a directory. It has news, and articles too, which are a great way of keeping up with what is happening in the disability community. And if you have a Facebook page why not check out our site page?
Disability Direct was built and is maintained by people with disabilities, so if we don't know what we're talking about then no one does.
Independent Age
http://www.independentage.org.uk
We work to keep thousands of older people independent and out of poverty by providing them with practical support, financial help and lifelong friendship. We have over 140 years' experience of supporting older people at home.
Our support is provided by local teams of volunteers, supported by a small number of staff across the UK and Ireland.
